South Asian Peoples
South Asian Unengaged Peoples

The Gagra of India have a very small population--only about 650 people--but they are known and loved by God. This unengaged, unreached people group is known for making mats with grass, driving rickshaws, and working with leeches. Please pray that God will help believers to locate and engage this people group with the gospel, and pray that many Gagra will believe and repent.

Pregnancy Center Project, Chiang Mai, Thailand

(chee-ang MY) - "The pregnancy center values partnering with other ministries. One business that employs local people to clean houses has a week-long training that everyone attends before being given an assignment. Part of this training includes the Life in the Womb material which provides a great way to share the gospel in a Buddhist context. Two other organizations support women leaving their work in the red-light district. The pregnancy center's training team recently trained nine women, empowering them to walk alongside pregnant women they know through their respective ministries. Praise God for unity in the body of Christ as we all work to advance the gospel in the places where Jesus is not named or known!"

Peoples of Yemen

The situation for Yemen seems hopeless. After nine years of civil war, many different sides still vie for power. There has been death on all sides. Food is limited or expensive, and many people go without. There are fears of impending famine. In Psalm 33:16-19 (ESV), David reminds us: "The king is not saved by his great army; a warrior is not delivered by his great strength. . . . Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear him, on those who hope in his steadfast love, that he may deliver their soul from death and keep them alive in famine." Please pray that the Yemeni people will turn their eyes to the only One who can save them. Ask God to indeed have mercy on the people of Yemen who are starved by this war and its effects. God loves the people of Yemen. Pray that they will know that He sees them in their suffering. Ask Jesus to reveal Himself to them so that He may deliver their souls from death. Pray that God will keep them alive in famine so they can find Him. Pray that they will place their hope in Him today.

Peoples of the Southwest Amazon Basin

The Tahnee people live upriver from a community where some believers live. They are often seen in the city in unfortunate circumstances, under the influence of alcohol or drugs and asking for food. Recently, some from their group visited the believers' home and heard the story of the resurrection of Jesus. Please pray that these people will understand and believe the good news of Christ's resurrection and be redeemed. Pray they will listen to God's Word in their heart language and tell others about Jesus.

Mebo of Laos

(MEE-boh) - A school in the land of the Mebo needed a cook to help feed the children. Martha, a staunch Buddhist, was hired. She heard the gospel from the kitchen staff almost every day, but she refused to believe. She continued to work at the school because she needed the money. After several months, Martha said that her family needed her, so she quit her job at the school. On her last day, the kitchen staff threw a party for her and shared the gospel with her one last time before she left. Pray that once again, God will soften her heart and place Martha in a position to hear His truth. Ask God to supply the school with another cook who needs to hear the gospel. Pray that the kitchen staff will remain faithful to share the gospel with whomever God sends their way.

Maputo, Mozambique: Capital City and Province

(mah-POO-too) - "Days have passed, and I have had but a couple minutes in the Word. Days have passed, and I have had but passing moments in prayer. Days have passed, and I still have not intentionally sat before the Lord, thanking Him for what He has done and asking Him to continue the good work in this place." The Southern Mozambique Team writes: "We live in a world that is always fighting for our attention. From the constant input from today's media, to the overwhelming physical needs around us, to the countless ministry opportunities day to day, to the endless traffic, to the next broken thing on the car or house, to intentionally caring for family members, to finding time to eat and sleep--there's so much more that fights for our time, and it's a lot. But please be praying that missionaries in Mozambique and around the world will never let our personal time with the Lord falter. Pray that if even nothing else gets taken care of in that day, we will sit at Jesus' feet, in awe of His glory. Pray that we will not simply do good Christian things for God, but daily find rest in His presence."

Multiple Affinities
Last Frontier

Please pray for ministries that are engaging an unreached people group (UPG) with the gospel. During the week there are multiple worship services, Bible studies, discipleship trainings, seeker classes, evangelism, and outreaches. Please pray that in each of these ministries, believers will grow spiritually strong, and unbelievers will hear and believe the gospel. Other ministries and events are occurring to introduce this people group to God's good news. Please pray for God's outpouring of His Holy Spirit so people will love and follow Him.

Conakry, Guinea

(KON-ah-kree) - Pray for recent efforts by workers in Conakry to establish a Baptist convention in Guinea, unifying through common doctrine and practice the six small Baptist churches that are already in existence. Recently, these workers, along with two local pastors, met with Sam, the pastor of a handful of village churches outside of Conakry. Sam would like to join this future convention as well as be included in future leadership development trainings. Pray that the workers and leaders will be unified in all the necessary decisions and that they will move forward with wisdom and discernment.

Commerce City in Northern Africa

Some women belonging to the same family live together in a house in the city. Latifa is the single mother of Fatima, Amina, Bouchra, and Najet. A few years ago, Fatima believed in Jesus. She quickly became a part of a local church and started sharing with her family. Later, Amina and Bouchra also believed. Latifa says that she believes in Jesus, but she still follows the traditions and values of Islam. Najet is very much against the gospel and is adamant about following Islam. About a year ago, Fatima went to another country for work. When she left, Amina became the spiritual leader in her household. Amina has been studying the Word with her mother, Latifa, and teaching her the true things of God. Pray for Amina to have the strength and wisdom needed to continue sharing her faith with her family and those around her. Pray for Latifa to turn from her old traditions, joyfully understanding that Jesus is enough. Pray for Najet to desire the peace seen in her sisters and come to faith. Pray for Fatima to get connected to a church in her new country and continue growing in her faith.

Aegean Turks of Turkey

(uh-JEE-an) - Before the Easter service began, Pastor Mike introduced his sister (presumably a practicing Muslim, as she wore a head scarf and was dressed all in black) to a small group of believers. He told this small group: "It's nice of her to come and join us to celebrate our important holiday. Maybe next year, it will be her holiday, too." Then Pastor Mike, the congregation, and many visitors moved into a time of worship. At the end of the service, a young woman professed faith! After the worship service, the attendees enjoyed fellowship with one another. As the food began to be served, a group of believers gathered in the sanctuary to pray. As they prayed, the mother of a member of this fellowship made a profession of faith! Then Pastor Mike's own sister got up, joined the people who were interceding, and likewise made a profession! Please pray for these three women, asking that their confessions will be genuine and that there will be fruit in their lives.
