In 1873, she sailed to China as a missionary. She devoted her life to serving the people while sharing the gospel. Through letters home, she shared stories that helped churches understand the needs of missionaries and people who had never heard the name of Jesus. She challenged believers to work together to send and sustain more missionaries. Her influence inspired the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering® for International Missions. Her life left a legacy of faith, generosity, and global missions.
