About France North Star Team

Once an industrial and prosperous region in this country, North Star attracted thousands of North Africans in the 1960s and 70s, and their families still live in this area, along with more North African immigrants who have settled here in recent years. Many are disadvantaged and marginalized, living in poor neighborhoods with high crime rates. In addition to these hardships, spiritual darkness covers the area, stemming from their faith that is based on performance and good works. They carry heavy physical and spiritual burdens, and their only hope is in their good works and the mercy of an unpredictable god.

Jesus wants to change that! He wants them to know that He loves each of them and freely offers salvation, hope, and eternal life based on His goodness, not theirs. He has given our team a God-sized task: to reach hundreds of thousands of North Africans spread over an area the size of Chicago. Will you join us in this work through prayer and giving to our ministries?

We want to cast the net wide, using both physical presence in the neighborhoods and online presence through social media to find those seeking God. We want to put Bibles in the hands of those hungry for God’s Word and make disciples from every North African nation in our region. Will you help us?

Your gift will enable us to engage more effectively these people living in darkness who are spread out over such a large area. These individuals and families need to hear the good news and have the opportunity to believe and follow Christ. They need God’s Word. They need discipling and training to learn to plant churches that reach more and more North African peoples. Your partnership provides us with more options and better ways to accomplish the Great Commission in this corner of the world. Join us!

Taking the Gospel to Hard-to-Reach Places

Pockets of North Africans exist throughout our vast region that have little to no access to the gospel. Your gift will enable us to travel and stay overnight in places with limited access to these individuals and families can hear of the Savior who loves them.

Meeting Physical Needs

There are many migrants who live in makeshift homes or sleep under the stars. Their physical needs are great. We want to meet some of their physical needs and also show them their spiritual need for Christ. Your gift will enable us to purchase food goods, coffee, cooking fuel, sleeping bags, and other much needed items to distribute.

Casting the Net Wide: Online Outreach

The majority of North Africans spend a considerable amount of time on the Internet. They use their mobile phones to discover truth--from the mundane to the eternally significant such as "Who is Jesus?" and "What do Christians believe?" We want to be there when they ask Christians online, "What is the gospel?" Your gift will allow us to run advertising online to distribute Bibles and meet seekers face to face.

Arabic Language Training & Resources

To clearly communicate the gospel message, we need to learn Arabic. Our basic language study is provided for through the Lottie Moon Offering, but your gift will cover higher-level study, giving us greater fluency for the gospel's sake. We want to proclaim the gospel clearly and comprehensibly in the heart language of our people groups.

Goal Amount

The goal represents the cost of our team’s ministry activities for this calendar year. The Cooperative Program and Lottie Moon Christmas Offering® (LMCO) fully fund our living expenses. The goal amount resets every January 1st. All gifts completed through this form are directed to our team’s ministry strategy.

Team Efforts

Giving to one of our specific team efforts allows us to know what you are excited to see God complete within our ministry. Occasionally, we may need to redeploy gifts within our team strategy as urgent opportunities arise, as we do our best to follow God's leading, or adjust to changing international contexts. Any gifts received beyond the posted goal go toward a similar project or our team support.

Our living expenses are fully provided by generous churches and individuals participating in the Cooperative Program and Lottie Moon Christmas Offering® (LMCO).
