People Group Focus: The Pumi of China

Prayer Points for the Pumi http://media1.imbresources.org/files/34/3406/3406-18463.jpg

1. Pray for God to send laborers to the harvest field among the Pumi. Will you go?

2. Ask God to remind the few believers among the Pumi to be unified so that the other Pumi will know they are followers of Jesus because of their love for each other.

3. Pray that Jesus will reveal Himself to the Pumi through messengers and dreams as the Way, the Truth, and the Life.

There is suffering ahead of us, a suffering that will continue to tempt us to think that we have chosen the wrong road and that others were more shrewd than we were. But don't be surprised by pain. Be surprised by joy, be surprised by the little flower that shows its beauty in the midst of a barren desert, and be surprised by the immense healing power that keeps bursting forth like springs of fresh water from the depth of our pain.”

I've really been thinking about joy and suffering a lot the past week, and I've been amazed at the good it has done for my heart to view life through the lenses of joy. Read more . . .
