2020 IMB Annual Report videos to Southern Baptists

Editor’s note: With the necessary cancellation of the 2020 SBC Annual Meeting, Southern Baptist entity leaders offered reports during SBC Advance, a lived-streamed event held Tuesday, June 2. The two-hour online event was not designed to be a substitute for the annual meeting, but allowed for ministry updates and interviews with all SBC entity and auxiliary heads, as well as SBC President J.D. Greear. Below are the videos shared during the event.

Do all nations have a gospel witness? Has everyone heard?

No, everyone has not yet heard. We know that every second, two people die without knowing Christ. We know that 25% of spoken languages do not have Scripture to share the gospel in their heart languages.

And that is why, Southern Baptists, your IMB is still sending missionaries. And these faithful workers are still sharing the gospel wherever the Lord places them–whether in a temporary location due to COVID-19 or through new digital channels during a lockdown. Praise God! The gospel is advancing!

You are a part of this eternal work through giving, praying, sending, and going. Every church, regardless of its size or resources, has a part to play in reaching every nation with the gospel.

The nations are waiting. Thank you for doing your part.

Together

The beauty of this partnership. that we as Southern Baptists call the Cooperative Program, is we are able to do much more together than we could if we were chasing this vision alone. Our partnership helped 535,325 people hear the gospel last year for the very first time. Together we work toward our shared vision.

A Life Given

For 175 years, God has given life to this organization. He has called us to go. Thousands have answered that call and Southern Baptists have faithfully worked cooperatively to send them. Many completed their service and came back to their homeland. Some did not.
