Believers from diverse backgrounds who are united in Christ can display God’s love to each other and to their neighbors. Praise God for this picture of the gospel lived out by His followers in word and in deed. Praise Him that this is happening in the Middle East. “Heavenly Father, as darkness envelops the Middle East, may Your children shine even more brightly, guiding the hurting and lost to Jesus. We pray that Your Church will tangibly help those who have been hurt by the conflict through mercy ministries and counseling. We praise You for those who are already doing this. Please give them strength as they help others.” “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth” (Acts 1:8 ESV).
