We give to the IMB because together the gospel of Jesus Christ can be taken to the ends of the earth, giving those dying in darkness the glorious hope of eternal life through Him, fulfilling the great commission. Your gifts support the work of IMB missionaries around the world, for evangelizing, discipling, and planting reproducing churches among all peoples. The IMB has a history of faithfully stewarding all resources given for this purpose. Since the IMB was formed as “one sacred effort for the propagation of the gospel” by the Southern Baptist Convention in 1845, we have remained focused on the mission as a cooperative effort of all Southern Baptist churches. We are accountable before God, Southern Baptists, and our Board of Trustees, and we adhere to the strict guidelines of the Evangelical Council of Financial Accountability (EFCA).
