We are committed to providing accurate and appropriate references on every former IMB employee. The IMB strongly encourages any church, school, or entity that works with children who is considering working or partnering with a former IMB personnel to contact the IMB to obtain an informed reference on that individual. You can email us at references@hr-references.org so that we can do our part to help you make wise and informed hiring decisions. Other employers may obtain validation of employment dates and last job title by emailing references@hr-references.org.

Approximately 83% of the IMB’s budget is used for overseas purposes.

The Cooperative Program (CP) of the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) is the cooperating effort of churches to pool their resources for the work of the gospel among SBC organizations. Currently, CP provides 30 percent of IMB annual support. IMB receives slightly more than half of CP funds from state conventions for the global work of the gospel. IMB is committed to you through this exciting journey and has a team of dedicated staff to help you along the way. Early on in the process, a Success Representative will be walking with you until such time you are ready to fill out the IMB application. At that point, an IMB Assessment and Deployment team member will help guide you through the application process. Once you have been approved for an IMB role, you will be guided to the appropriate training opportunity prior to joining the team overseas.
