A grant from Baptist Global Response provided relief in two Ethiopian counties where a wildfire destroyed houses, livestock, and the meager food supplies families needed to survive.
Southern Baptists released more than $37,000 to help those Ethiopian families rebuild their livelihoods and stave off a hunger crisis that was already bad enough.
Working through a local Ethiopian humanitarian group, BGR helped rebuild mud-and-thatch houses, replace livestock, and provide a supply of grain and cooking oil that should feed 56 families until their summer harvest can be taken in.
