Several villages are underwater due to flooding along the Tapanahony River in the interior of Suriname. During the crisis, a ministry called Radio Paakati provided emergency broadcasts to flood victims.
IMB missionaries use Radio Paakati, the first radio station of the Aukan people, to broadcast Bible stories, news, obituaries and music to the Aukan people.
