The Ankara Castle is one of the Turkish capital’s oldest sights, dating back to the Roman, Seljuk and Ottoman Empires. Overlooking the city from its perch in Ankara, the iconic, red-tiled roofs of the old, historic houses encroach on its position on the hilltop. It has become a very popular destination for visitors as well as locals to view the capital city. The 2020 population in Ankara was 5.663 million, with the overwhelming majority religion being Sunni Muslim. IMB Photo
