The Grand Canal of Venice, also known as Canalazzo, is the most important waterway sweeping through this amazing city.
While the ancient canal measures 3.8 kilometers long, it snakes through Venice in a large S shape and splits the city in two. Hallstatt is a UNESCO world heritage site. The region of Salzkammergut and the area’s salt mines were in use as early as the second millennium B.C. Salzkammergut, which includes Hallstatt, was designated a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1997.
The quaint village, situated on Lake Hallstatt’s western shore in the mountainous region of Salzkammergut, is home to fewer than 1,000 inhabitants, an ancient salt mine, and unparalleled views of the Austrian Alps.

Fire Festival activities include wrestling, bull fighting, horse racing and a model competition. The festival is concluded at night by dancing around a fire to music.
