Missions Residency

4 MONTHS TO 1 YEAR

Missions Residency is an opportunity for students and young adults interested in working alongside a missionary mentor to share the gospel of Jesus with unreached peoples. Members of Southern Baptist Convention Churches can receive funding to cover half the cost to go.

PREPARING PEOPLE FOR MISSION

Journeyman

IMB offers a unique, fully-funded, 2-year missions opportunity for young adults aged 21-29. As a Journeyman, you can be sent by your church through IMB to join an international missionary team to share the gospel, make disciples, and help plant churches.

Applicants can start the process at anytime.

Approximately 83% of the IMB’s budget is used for overseas purposes.

9-12 months since potential candidates are expected to go through the Deepen Discipleship material and that requires six months to go through and that has to be finished before Field Personnel Orientation.

Serving with IMB is a three-way partnership between the missionary candidate, their sending church, and the IMB. The local church is involved in the process and walks alongside a missionary’s call to the nations.
